I remember in his first year with the Canucks, Vigneault used to dress like one of those guidos from Montreal. He’d wear all these shitty silk pastel shirts with his suits. Once he had a mustard coloured shirt on, and my comment was “how could you respect your boss if he wore a mustard shirt? i couldn’t.”
Since then I’ve always called him Mustard Shirt, even though he’s been wearing nice shirts and ties and suit combos for the last couple years. He probably got sponsored by Zegna or something. Also, Mustard Shirt is easier to say and spell than Vigneault. And I’m not one to call him “Viggy”, cause thats for the lame people that probably call appetizers “appys” and programs “proggies”.
I don’t know where I’m going with this.
Vigneault re-signs
For as much as Alain Vigneault has accomplished as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, there have been questions since Mike Gillis took over the role of General Manager as to whether or not Vigneault was his guy.
On Thursday Gillis stated loud and clear that he backs Vigneault to the fullest.
The fourth-year Canucks bench boss signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the club through the 2012-2013 season.
Huzzah!
presentations “prezos”? And presents “prezzies”? And ukuleles “ukes” (pronounced “yukes”)? And zucchinis “zukes”?
