Melissa McCarthy Deserved Better Material For Her SNL Hosting Gig

Even though I enjoyed Mellissa McCarthy on SNL more than author of this article, I still agree with their take. I did feel like it was a little too Chris Farley-esqe in that it seemed like the writers felt that the only way a fat person can get laughs is through physical comedy. I’m sure Melissa didn’t get to the highest level of improv (performing on or hosting SNL) on just doing a bunch of fat people are clumsy and eat a lot jokes.

Physical humour is pretty funny. And I laughed. But it can also be pretty sad.
